The Irish people's aspirations for unity should have focussed on the leadership of Tone, Emmet, Mitchel, Lalor, the Fenians, and the James Connolly and the Leaders of 1916 . Where colonialism had succeeded in suppressing or interrupting its its leadership structures, the teachings and example of their leaders have sustained in popular tradition a seed-bed for the constant correct constant rebirth of the Phoenix of rebellion. The Juche Idea This has for the first time in a scientific revolutionary way approached the question of the the future leadership and the succession to it as an independent and central question of revolutionary theories, and is thus of great encouragement to all oppressed peoples holding fast to their independent leadership traditions.

(26) It has been our privilege to participate in the historic introduction of these two great revolutionary traditions, the Korean and the Irish, through the programme launched by Comrade Keith to study the works of James Connolly and the Juche Idea. We have come to see that (it is through) the deeper understanding and creative and productive interchange between such dynamic revolutionary traditions that the world revolutionary process will deepen and intensify under the banner of Chajusong (independence). This study programme has been the focus of our work in recent years, and <strike>was</strike> (we have) resisted all attempts by the factionalist flunkeys to suppress it, whether by anti-communist hysteria, physical violence or threats. United as one in the firm conviction that our Connolly - Juche Study programme will prove a focus for

(27 the emergence of a guiding revolutionary idea in our country, we give undying gratitude to the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and to James Connolly for their immortal and encyclopaedic legacy which enables us to play our part in moving the wheels of history forward.

As we look at the East Asian (region) today, (28) we salute the half-century leadership of the great leader, Comrade Kim Il Sung, (I.I. code KIS) and we heartily (and) warmly (confronting.) congratulate the Korean people on (I.I. code KIS) for the first time in the history of the (I.I. code KIS) world communist movement, (I.I. code KIS) the question of succession to the (dear leader Comrade Kim Jong Il) leadership of the revolution. The (I.I. code KJI) has (revealed) the unanimous (and) (I.I. code KIS) authentic (of the people of the Korea) (I.I. code KIS) endorsement as the successor to the leadership, and these people, which is the most independent-minded and politicised (and) (I.I. code KIS) working-class (I.I. code KIS) people in history, are eagerly working to (I.I. code KIS) consolidate his leadership system in the stable conditions of dynamic socialist construction. We will (and) continue eagerly to follow this original (I.I. code KIS) significant (dear leader's) (and) process, (I.I. code KIS) to study (and) propagate the (I.I. code KIS) (It will) writings.
