  • om It is love f. the peo. in gen. who are oppressed, & its love of Liberation (5 & that's the thy that must drive us forward in this world. Eh - one pt I was gory to mention too that during the phase of the 50s & 60s, we had occasion to stand a great deal of confusion on the qu. of Mao Ts., KIS & HCM, bec. in the own chies they Dare termed gt leaders (?). terminology that we don't use readily in this cty, right? I don't find it necessary myself to use it, bec. I don't speak that way normally. I don't refer to leaders as dear great leaders. I don't refer to Marx or John Maclean or anyone else like that, But, however, that is a method of address f. a respected leader in any cty & in particular in S-E-Asia & in Asian chies. But when you put this forward here in Britain at a time, you find that cert. peo. will say that you are using a language wh. is not the natural lang. to your own peo. & we apply it properly. That was the pt I was trying to make originally. And the qu. also was, the cult of the individual, why do we place peo. up. Now there is no requirement without leaders, they require leaders. And that we've got to be very careful how we apply this pt, & any (we were) can hear at all, as to what we put forward Marx as being a god, or somely defied, or was Lenin delped, or was Joe Stalin & each of the had their failings to some degree. And again Che K-J-S- & Chairman Mao Ts. also had failings, & both have failings & there is no man perfect, so we cannot put them up as such, as being without imperfections, & we've got to be careful on that. J John Maclean stood f. self-reliance, Jas Committy stood for self- reliance. Both of them realised that in their own practical experience. J-C- came to the understanding in I., bec. of the love nature of the state there & the brutal oppression of Brit. forces in I., n. there was only one way in wh. the peo. & I. cd liberate themselves & that was by armed str., & he fod the Citizens Army. And this is a lesson wh. I think is gory to be learnt for this cty of us so far off at all. It will be learned. And the peo. will learn it, bec. there is no other method that can overcome it. The state is armed to the teeth, & therefore, when we are prepared to meet the state by arms for arms as Mao Ts. again put out & we are not advocates of war, we don't deny it; we are not pacifists either; but we don't advocate war, but , nonetheless, if we are gory to be battered down, then we'll take up arms & use them. The pol. power grows out of the barrel of a gun, & that's the lesson that's got to go home to the peo. of this cty, & it's got to go home very sharply. S-I think I will leave it that, codes, except to say that we in Scott. have a long, long history of trying to apply the fuche, & in our own concrete circumstances of applying the qu. of independence & self-reliance. We have delved, to some degree, on external factors of. theory & everyty else, for to get grasp & understudy of thp. But, as I say, what we've got to do in the process, of our own practical experience, is to build up our Reschwans in this cty, pes. who are capable of applying Marxism-Lenin & applying it to the concrete conditions, & then, & only then can we say that we have our own dear leaders in this cty, our own dear leaders, & then we get to that position we will start to move, bec. then we will be indept, totally indept at that pta 5 (....................................) I have no desire to raise a thy (which

factor is an intend factor gh in Scott, but cut. The paper that were sod today & the paper that was produced by the S.C.R.I.P.(?) has a slyht lenor in it in regards to a demo. wh. took place in Glasgow for the Irish Maclean Soc. S It says: "Never again shd we witness a J-M- Commemor. march whose organisers banned pro-Ir. supporters for remembering J-M-'s revol'y work, both in Scott. & I., by preventing men fr. joining the ward w. banners & symbols of the "Ir. revol'n." S Now, I have a reply - it's not my reply; the reply comes fr. the Bands Alliance in Glasgow the Scot-Rep- B-All-, & it's been handed to me to read out at this mty: "To whom it may concern: At the recent J-M- Comm. - in Glasgow, Nov. '84, wh. was oy'd by the S-R-S-P the Rep. Bd All-, Scott., took a decision not to provide a colour party, due to the circumstances that prevailed at that time. Now, some of the circumstances that prevailed at that time were, first, (a) the B-s All- had been banned & proscribed by the powers in Glasgow from having any demos: in Glasgow on the street; & they were in litigation with them, they had lawyers a.various other pes. going on that & that was one of the reasons. [And, secondly, there was fear of a march w. tricolors in that particular area, bec when we had a march before w. the J-M- ward, we had marched on & it was a fairly safe walk. But in that area they felt that they were going to be a tremendous amount of opposition. I opposed that myself, incidentally, & so did Donald Anderson, the organiser of the S-R-S-P- We asked if we cd have Ir. flags & Ir. bands marching (....) but the B-A- themselves stated that they only wanted 3 bands marching w. us & to wear Scottish colours, (that was the Scottish Bands decision. So I just want to get that out there to make clear & I say no more than that.(......) Thank you, ches. (6

[ca. 450 words] (1 TELO Comrade Chairman, Comrades, On behalf of the struggling masses of Tamil Eelam I would like to take this. (Thank) opportunity to say thank to you for giving me the for giving me the chance to speak out. Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka is a • struggling minority under the repressive regime of Sinhalese chauvinism. We are forced into an armed struggle for the liberation from the oppression of the Sri Lankan government's neo-colonial ruling. With all the sincerity and seriousness, it is a struggle against the imperialist. • Yes, the very imperialist who denies the rights of the ethnic minorities and being the major obstruction for the oppressed people everywhere, including of the United Kingdom and the USA. We all know that the US imperialists thrive on the exploited masses, not only being an obstruction for the

[TELO] (2 development but also for the peaceful Coexistence of nations. 5th of April '71 was a historical day in Sri Lanka. On that day on Ceylon Broadcasting Board radio there was an Announcement. The North Korean Embassy in Colombo had been closed and the embassy staff had been expelled from the country. The crime was that the North Koreans in Colombo, at the time, had rendered their support to the people's struggle against the fascist government of Sri Lanka. That was the [Korean] [?] nation, true to its ideological Commitment to the emancipation of the exploited masses, [showed their [?]] solidarity. Revolution never fails but it Continues, because [the] masses are the masters of their destiny. If the imperialists believe [that] by massacring the masses in millions they could extinguish the revolution then they unknowingly create ardent revolutionaries in millions.

(TELO) (3 Comrades, day by day the government of Sri Lanka is becoming more and more keen to serve their imperialist masters. They openly market the multinational Companies from US and Japan and other Capitalist countries. As a result of this [the] economic crisis is deepening within the Country. Two million people in Sri Lanka are • unemployed. To escape from this situation the Sri Lankan fascist government is scape-goating the minorities. They are setting the majority Sinhalese against the minority Tamils. By this deliberate government policy communal riots erupt very often and end up in thousands of deaths of Tamils and destruction of their property amounting to millions of pounds. • We minorities came to the decision [that the] only solution to escape socio-economic repression was revolution. Our struggle is not only against [the] Sinhalese chauvinism but also against [the] US imperialism, South African racism and Israeli Zionism. Thank you very much.

MIKE Comrades. On behalf of the independent anti-imperialist newspaper IRELAND'S WAR I wish to congratulate the organisers of the Juche Idea seminar and to say how honoured I am to be asked to speak to you today. Comrades. 18 months ago when we began to produce IRELAND'S WAR we faced many problems. Based in Glasgow, in Scotland, we had been used to newspapers being produced in London $$$$$ but we had no experiance of producing newspapers ourselves. We had no knowledge, no idea, as to how a newspaper was produced. However, once we set out on the road of independence we soon (tape begins) overcame all the difficulties and problems we faced. And we solved these problems not by looking to others but by relieing on our own resources. Today, by taking an independent stand and on the basis of self-reliance, IRELAND'S WAR has been built up into a strong, mass, newspaper which firmly upholds the struggle of the Irish Republican Movement for Chajusong (independence), and which exerts a powerful influence on revolutionary activity over here. The great leader comrade Kim Il Sung has said that "the pens in the hands of progressive men of the press should be a mighty weapon against the imperialists..." Comrades. IRELAND'S WAR has become a mighty weapon against $$$$$$$ the British imperialists. The Irish revolution led by the Irish Republican Movement strikes right at the heart of British imperialism. $$$ Ireland's freedom fighters $$$$$$$ continue, to deliver blow apon blow, to inflict defeat apon defeat on the murderous British imperialist state. The newspaper IRELAND'S WAR/

The newspaper IRELAND'S WAR/ by taking a firm stand in full solidarity with the Irish Republican Movement, and by helping to build the Pro-Republican Irish Solidarity Movement, is itself striking directly at the British imperialist state. For nothing terrifies British imperialism more than the possibility that revolutionary workers in Scotland, Wales and England will rise up, in $ firm unity with the Irish Republican Movement, in a united struggle against British imperialism and for independence and socialism. Comrades. IRELAND'S WAR is not simply an Irish solidarity newspaper. We do not limit ourselves to support for the Irish revolution. Nor do we limit ourselves to the revolutionary struggle in our own countries. IRELAND'S WAR takes its stand with all those, throughout the world, fighting for Chajusong (independence) and socialism. The great leader comrade Kim Il Sung has said that progressive journalists "should disseminate to the world the just struggles of the peoples fighting against imperialism and for peace and independence and raise the voices of international solidarity..." Comrades. the newspaper IRELAND'S WAR has Taised the voice of international solidarity. In our pages we have taken a stand in support of the socialist countries and have been proud to publicise the putstanding revolutionary achievments of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung and the dear leader comrade Kim Jong Il in the Korean and world revolution. IRELAND'S WAR has taken a stand in support of all those fighting against imperialism for independence. We have publicised revolutionary anti-imperialist struggles from all parts of the world. And to those gathered here today I say that the pages of IRELAND'S WAR are always open to you to publicise your anti-imperialist struggles. And I invite you to submitt articles to IRELAND'S WAR on your battles for independence and socialism against imperialism. Comrades. IRELAND'S WAR extends its warmest greetings to tadays Juche Idea Seminar. The Juche Idea is a powerfull tool in the hands of the oppressed peoples fighting against imperialism. The Juche Idea has great relivance and significance to all revolutionary fighters and so todays Seminar is of especial importance. On the basis of independence and anti-imperialism IRELAND'S WAR extends its hand of friendship to all those gathered here today and to all those fighting against imperialism throughout the world. VICTORY TO IRELAND'S FREEDOM FIGHTERS! ALL INDEPENDENT ANTI-IMPERIALISTS MUST UNITE!
